For our third issue, Utopix presents “Stories from the Margins” where we aim to spotlight the narratives of those left behind in the wake of urbanization. Living in this rapidly urbanizing world, many aspects of society have not been able to keep up with the fast pace of change. As small villages turn into bustling cities, and green fields into concrete jungles, the gap between rural and urban areas has become more pronounced than ever. Individuals and societies in low-income populations often struggle with limited access to resources and opportunities, migrants face challenges in integrating into the urban social fabric, and local cultures of indigenous communities are overshadowed by the impacts of globalization. Facing the rapid changes brought by urbanization, these groups of people are often left in the lurch, their voices left behind in the narrative of progress. With this issue, Utopix aims to give a voice to those left in the shadows and showcase the unnoticed aspects of our rapidly changing world.

But to do so, we need YOUR help!

What are the things that go unnoticed amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Who are the unheard voices that are often overlooked? The works you submit do not need to directly link to the topic of urbanization, but should reflect values of resilience, perseverance, and/or be inspired by the things that go unnoticed in everyday life.
